The original and authentic technique of Kriya Yoga are taught to the initiate by the authorized teacher (Acharya) in a simple initiation ceremony. Initiation is imparted into the first Kriya technique. The higher techniques i.e., from 2nd to 6th Kriya are imparted by the Acharya only to those disciples who successfully complete the initial stages. The spiritual development of the disciple is assessed by the Acharya.

Currently, Swami Yogeswarananda Giri is the only authorized Acharya of the Ashram in the lineage of Mahavatar Babaji, Shyamacharan Lahiri, Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri, Paramahansa Yogananda, Swami Satyananda Giri and Paramahansa Hariharananda.
